Auditions for Class Placement Begin Monday

Thursday, April 17 2008

Starting Monday, April 21, incoming freshmen band students as well as current Brook Band students will audition for placement in next year's band classes. Band director Mike Ary noted that the audition is not a marching band audition. Returning students will audition at separate times from incoming freshmen and, in some cases, on different days. Please see the website calendar and click on each day's listing for specific times for each instrument group. The audition will consist of a prepared etude and the Junior High Region Band Scales. Students wishing to be considered for one of the top two bands will also need to prepare the second (or extended) etude provided to them. Students who cannot attend at the scheduled audition time should notify the band directors (mary@ccisd.net or dnorris1@ccisd.net) to work out another time. All auditions must be complete by April 28.
